A First for Saints' Reggie Bush

You could call New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush one of the most exciting players in the National Football League.

We recently caught up with Bush at Texas Motor Speedway during the Samsung 500, where he was hanging out with fellow Red Bull athletes Brian Vickers and Scott Speed.

"I'm excited because I get a chance, like you say, get a newfound respect for another sport and learn about what these guys do, you know, maybe take a little bit of something from them and use that for my sport," Bush said.

Bush was drafted in 2006 after attending the University of Southern California, which he said has helped him deal with the limelight.

"For me, first of all, going to USC and having the success I had there, and kind of being in the spotlight, kind of, I felt, helped prepare me a little bit for all of the stuff that is going on now," Bush said.

If you see Bush out on the town these days, chances are his girlfriend Kim Kardashian is by his side with the paparazzi not far behind.

"It's because of my girlfriend," Bush said. "It's not because of me. I wish I could take the credit for it, but it mostly comes from her -- you know the tabloids and pap and stuff like that."

Although attending the race at TMS was the first time he had visited Fort Worth, Bush is no stranger to North Texas.

"I think all of North Texas is a great place," he said. "I love it out here. The people are so nice."

The Saints running back said he is really looking forward to the upcoming football season.

"I think we are going to be good," said Bush. "We're really looking forward to it and I think this is going to be the year of the Saints."
