Numbers of Texans Registered to Vote Rises

Early Voting Ends Friday

13.5 million Texans are registered to vote, up from 12.7 million registered voters in this year’s March primaries.

"I am excited about the growth we have seen statewide in voter registrations since March," said Texas Secretary of State Hope Andrade.

"Texans recognize the importance of this election and are already exercising their right to vote in record numbers during early voting."

More than 2 million registered Texans cast a ballot during the first eight days of the early voting period, which ends Friday, Oct. 31.

"The convenience of early voting continues to be something Texans appreciate," said Andrade.

"It is not too late to take advantage of early voting and avoid what may be long lines on Nov. 4."
