Polls Shows Texans Unsure on Gov Race

Politicos love polls when it shows their candidate leading. They discredit polls when their candidate is losing. Either way, political operatives pay attention to them.

A new Texas Tribune poll shows Rick Perry leading Bill White 39 percent to 33 percent. The candidate in third place, with 22 percent, is someone named "Undecided."

Kathie Glass, a Libertarian candidate was fourth, with 5 percent.

All kidding aside, the Texas Tribune poll shows more and more voters haven't made up their minds on who to vote for for governor with 50 days left to go in the campaign.

Voters looking for suggestions on who to vote for, or waiting for the mud to fly just have to turn on their TVs. Both Rick Perry and Bill White have ads on air. Soon, we'll see more special interest and issue groups pounding on the candidates via the airwaves, too.
