Republican Gov. Greg Abbott still has more than $17 million in campaign cash socked away after his first six months in office.
Abbott did not yet disclose his biggest donors Wednesday in revealing his account balance. Those names will be made public next week in required campaign finance filings.
But Abbott has continued to aggressively fundraise even after a landslide win in November and his next election three years away.
His roughly $47 million raised during his campaign for governor was also a record.
