Early Voting Very Popular

Texas Vote Surpasses 2004 Numbers

The Texas Secretary of State said Thursday Texans cast more ballots this year than in the 2004 presidential election.

So far, more than 2.7 million people have voted early.

The early voting period ends Friday.

Early voting has gained popularity in recent years for Texans who want to avoid long lines on Election Day.

Overall, in the 2004 election, 3.7 million people cast early ballots in Texas.
