Very Few Dallas County Election Problems

Dallas County election officials report very few issues so far. There have been reports of so-called 'electioneering' or campaigning too close to polling locations.  Officials are reminding voters they cannot wear campaign paraphernalia as they are casting their ballots today.

Also, there are reports that the ballot counters were down at Webb Elementary School on Greenmound Avenue. Election officials could not confirm that, but say there are emergency bins in place so voting can continue on as normal. The county has more than 40 technicians standing by to repair these kinds of issues.

Bruce Sherbert, Dallas County Election Administrator, told us this morning that about a dozen counters typically break down during any given election. He says it's a minor issue that should not affect voting whatsoever.  Dallas County has more than 500 polling locations.
