Cluck out after six terms leading Texas' seventh largest city



    Arlington Mayor Cluck Loses Reelection Bid

    After 12 years, the city of Arlington has elected a new mayor.

    Incumbent Dr. Robert Cluck lost his bid for a seventh two-year term to challenger Jeff Williams Saturday.

    With 96 percent of the vote, Williams holds a lead of 58 percent to 39 percent.  Challengers Jerry Pikulinski and Didmus Banda pulled in 3 percent of the vote.

    Cluck was first elected to mayor in 2003 after spending two terms on the city council.

    Also in Arlington, voters looking to have red light cameras removed from the city are won their race by about the same margin.
