Ukraine, Pro-Russia Rebels Agree to Cease-Fire

The Ukrainian government and pro-Russian rebels have agreed to a cease-fire to halt fighting in the east of the country, European monitors said on Friday. The envoys, along with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), signed the deal during a meeting in the Belorussian capital of Minsk, the OSCE told Reuters. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he have given the order for his troops to stop shooting at 6 p.m. local time, the news agency added. The rebels confirmed the deal through their Twitter account.
