Toledo Economy Suffers After Water Ban

The blue-green algae known as "The Incredible Hulk," has already cost Toledo, Ohio $200,000 in cleanup costs after the city's weekend water ban, NBC News reported. Restaurants bore the most immediate brunt of the economic impact as they lost thousands of dollars by closing Saturday and Sunday or resorted to serving food on paper plates to stay open. The city’s tourism sector, which emphasizes sports and activities on Lake Erie, also felt the sting.
