Time Magazine Unveils Person of the Year Short List

Time magazine revealed its short list of eight potential candidates for the Person of the Year cover on the "Today" show on NBC Tuesday. The list includes Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, the Clintons, U.S. President Barack Obama, Pakistani student activist and Taliban assassination attempt survivor Malala Yousafzai, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Higgs Boson physicist Fabiola Giannati and, as a group, undocumented Americans. As it has for the past 85 years, the editors at the weekly news magazine will select the person or group that had the greatest impact during the year, for better or worse. Last year's pick was the protestor.
