Construction Fence Collapses in Times Square, 3 Hurt

Three people were injured when high winds blew down a plywood construction fence in Times Square, officials said.

A restaurant is being renovated at the corner of 40th Street and Seventh Avenue, and the plywood outside collapsed in a pile Friday morning.

The injuries to passersby were not life-threatening, officials said.

The city said the fence was installed without approval. A stop-work order has been issued for the site.
