The abode has been the focal point of an ongoing lawsuit that claims the previous owner, home inspector and real estate agents involved in the sale didn't disclose to the singer the numerous water leaks in the house, which has caused major damage.
Rihanna scooped up the property back 2009 for $6.9 million, so listing it at $4.5 million will cost the singer over a couple million. She apparently just wants to wipe her hands clean of the whole mess, and after taking a look at the majorly damaged property, we can't blame her.
The mansion sits on .86 acres in Beverly Hills Post Office. This past January the whole house flooded because one of the balconies was higher than its adjacent interior floor. Take a look at the damage.
The property itself, once all the major flood damages are fixed, seems to have a lot of potential. There's a large swimming pool and spa, as well as a home theater and steam room inside.
Rihanna is claiming that the previous owner and all involved in the sale knew about the defects in the home but sold it to her anyways. The home is being sold as-is and perhaps subject to a short sale.
Despite its major damage, the mansion sure has the potential to be totally swoon-worthy. The living room features hardwood floors and 30-foot ceilings over 10,000 square feet of interior living space.
Just last month, Rihanna was named "Esquire" magazine's "Sexiest Woman Alive." The sexiest woman alive should not be living in a leaky mansion.
The public listing makes no excuses for the home's current state: "Home is a MAJOR fixer with EXTENSIVE water intrusion from (but not limited to) roof, windows, doors and balconies. There is EXTENSIVE damage from moisture AND water intrusion."
Rihanna's leaky spread boasts eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms.
There are three fireplaces in the home, including one in the family room, living room and master bedroom.
A look at what could potentially be a glam gourmet kitchen.
The listing notes that "more than $7 million" has been invested in the property; however, we imagine a whole lot more than that will need to be invested to fix all the home's problems.
The mansion is situated atop a hill and offers gorgeous canyon and city views, pretty much the only attribute of this mansion that remains intact.
We're sure the sexiest woman alive has several other fancy digs to reside in while her Beverly Hills abode is on the market.
