When Michael Bay said he was looking for a fresh face to replace Megan Fox in "Transformers 3," he wasn't kidding.
DeadlineHollywood reports the search to play Shia LaBeouf's love interest is focusing on Victoria's Secret Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Clearly a lengthy acting resume is not required for the role famously vacated by Fox, since Huntington-Whiteley has none. The British-born model is best known for walking down the runway for the lingerie company and appearing in various sultry positions in the catalog.
We can confirm that she is exceedingly good in these roles.
She has no other professional acting experience. But let's face it, Fox didn't exactly make you yearn for a great thespian when she held down the role. If robots and big explosions don't draw the guys to the theater, the idea of a beautifully-shot Victoria's Secret model will provide more powerful box office ammo.
The website reports that Huntington-Whiteley is on the short list of three possible replacements but remains the main focus of the search after a successful reading with Bay on Friday. The other contenders include Sarah Wright ("Surfer Dude" and "The House Bunny") and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker (who actually has an acting role alongside Jennifer Aniston in "Just Go With It")
Bay has another week to make the decision even though production for "Transformers 3" began on May 17. The model-turned-actress won't begin shooting for another two weeks.
