It was another day of wild weather from Texas to the Carolinas as tornadoes skipped across the Midwest, heavy rains caused widespread flash flooding in the West, and Tropical Storm Ana made landfall in South Carolina before being downgraded to a tropical depression. Meanwhile, up to 50 million Americans faced a wet and windy Monday as a band of thunderstorms and severe weather stretched down the country's midsection. Tornadoes remained a hazard from eastern Texas to southern Michigan.
