A woman in Hawaii is thankful she's alive after a massive sinkhole opened up in the road as she drove to work Tuesday — swallowing her pick-up truck with her still inside. "When I made the turn, the road just sucked me right in, and then I just fell in," Velma Deluz said, after Pohakea Mauka Road in Paauilo gave way following a days of heavy rains. "I tried to climb out through the window because it fell on its side," she told Honolulu's NBC affiliate KHNL. She said she suffered only minor rib injuries from her fall into the crater in the road.
