Kim Kardashian is finally settling down.
Twenty-six-year-old New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries is engaged to the reality princess after just six months of dating. He proposed last week with 20.5-carat diamond engagement ring in her bedroom with "Will you marry me?" spelled out in rose petals.
"I didn't expect this at all," the future bride, 30, told People. "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."
Before Humphries scored Kardashian, the television starlet went through several public relationships. Two of them included New Orleans Saints football star Reggie Bush and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin.
The Kardashians must have a soft spot for basketball, however, because sister Khloe is married to L.A. Lakers forward Lamar Odom.
Not only is Humphries an athlete, but his first name is spelled with a "K," (strangely, the same exact spelling as her mom, Kris Jenner). While those two things make him a great fit for the Kardashian family, Kim said there is a lot more to her man.
"He just has a really good heart," she told Us Weekly over Valentine's Day weekend. "There has to be trust and honesty and chemistry. If you don't have any of those, it's never going to work."
Apparently Humphries also has really good taste--expensive taste. The 20.5-carat Lorrain Schwarz rock the athlete offered Kardashian surpassed even the 18-carat sapphire royal engagement right Prince William gave Kate Middleton, according to E! Online.
