Former CIA Director: Program Created “Warehouse” of Knowledge

Former CIA Director Michael Hayden said interrogation tactics revealed in a report released by the Senate on Tuesday created a "Home-Depot-like warehouse of knowledge about al Qaeda," disputing claims that it never led to "imminent threat" intelligence, NBC News reported. "Information gained from this program, and from detainees was absolutely part of the fabric of information that the agency used to go after Osama Bin Laden," he told NBC News' Brian Williams. Hayden, who was CIA director under former President George W. Bush from 2006-2009, also said the tactics were not legally torture.
