Details Emerge on Lindsay Lohan's Playboy Shoot

Starlet to pay tribute to Marilyn Monroe, mag hits newsstands in December

LiLo is channeling Marilyn again.

Lindsay Lohan’s nude Playboy pictorial will run in the magazine’s January/February issue, Playboy said on Monday. The issue hits newsstands in late December.

Playboy co-founder Hugh Hefner told The Insider Lohan’s fully nude shoot was a “classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe.”

Lohan reportedly earned near $1 million to do the men’s mag. Her spokesman told Reuters the “Mean Girls” star would grace Playboy’s cover.

"The pictorial is absolutely fantastic and very tasteful, and will be accompanied by an interview that will let readers see another side of Lindsay," spokesman Steve Honig told Reuters.

It’s not the first time Lohan has paid tribute to Monroe in a magazine spread.

Back in 2008, Lohan posed in various states of undress for New York mag; Photographer Bert Stern reenacted the 1962 shoot he’d done with Monroe in Bel Air six weeks before the screen legend died of an apparent drug overdose.

News of Lohan’s Playboy pictorial came within hours of the troubled starlet’s early release from jail because of overcrowding. She served five hours of 30-day sentence for violating the terms of her probation before being let go.
