Report: Clinton Used Personal Email at State Dept.

The U.S. State Department said Monday that Hillary Clinton had recently provided the agency with emails from her time as Secretary of State after the New York Times reported the former first lady had only used a personal email address to conduct government business while at the State Department — a possible violation of federal requirements that officials’ correspondence be retained as part of the agency’s record. The Times reported that Clinton, widely expected to run for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016, never even used a State Department email address during her four years there. Further, aides did not act to preserve her emails on government servers as required by federal law, the Times reported.
