Buy Jorge Posada's Condo for $11.5M

While all eyes were on A-Rod's successful flip of his swanky West Side penthouse, former Yankees catcher Jorge Posada flew under the real estate radar, and to very little fan fare, recently listed his full-floor condo on the Upper East Side. Well, judging by the steep $11.5 million list price, Posada and his wife Laura are hoping for a pay day just as lucrative as A-Rod's.

Posada, who announced his retirement just a few days ago, is said to have combined two impressive condo units into one, buying the last portion of what is now his full-floor apartment for $3.6 million in 2007. The all-star catcher's digs boast 5,600 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and some very swanky walk-in closets. Unlike Jonathan Papelbon's Boston crib, which features an array of Red Sox memorabilia, Posada's home is totally on par with the posh Upper East Side without a trace of any Yankee collectibles.

While Posada's sweet crib certainly seems like it has it all, including an ideal location at The Seville, a 31-story, full-service condo tower, the one thing that is missing is the much coveted outdoor terrace. And, with an asking price of $11.5 million, we can only suspect that the list price may soon dwindle, just like his batting average did in his last season in the big leagues.
