A 50-year-old woman was found dead in a New Jersey garage late Monday, and a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation told NBC 4 New York her head had been separated from her body.
The body of Pamela Davis was taken to the medical examiner's office Tuesday after authorities responding to a report of a foul odor found her wrapped in a blanket inside a garage on South 11th Street. Davis, who lived down the block from where she was found, had been reported missing Oct. 30.
It's not clear if her head was also located in the garage.

Authorities said it's also not known how Davis was killed, whether the beheading caused her death or she was dismembered after she died.
