Air strikes in southern Yemen killed about 25 suspected al-Qaeda members on Sunday, local tribal sources told Reuters. Sources told NBC News that two air strikes targeting al-Qaeda militants and associates were carried out by U.S. drones. The sources could not or would not confirm that 25 militants were killed. On Saturday, an air strike in central Yemen killed 10 al-Qaeda militants and three civilians, the country's defense ministry said.
