Reports of families separated at the U.S.-Mexico border sparked outrage among many activists. More protests and marches are planned throughout the month.
Photos of families separated at the border, video of migrant children kept in caged enclosures and an audio tape of young children crying for their parents fueled outrage against the administration as lawmakers scramble to enact legislation against the zero tolerance measure.
