Plum Organics Recalls Baby Food for Possible Spoilage

The company recalled their Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids lines

Organic baby food company Plum Organics is recalling several pouch products over a manufacturing defect that may cause spoilage.

The company said in a statement Friday that products in their Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids lines "do not meet our highest quality standards."

The recalled products have “best by” dates ranging from August 5, 2014 to December 8, 2014 and include the letters “AT” on the product label.

"Parents should not feed any of these products to their children," according to the company's statement. "If you have purchased affected products, please contact us to request a product replacement voucher."

Consumers purchased the recalled products are advised to contact the Plum Organics Consumer Hotline at (866) 495-3774 or send an email to info@plumorganics.com with the subject line "Replacement Voucher" for a product replacement.

The email should also include your first and last name, full address, phone number, Best By date, and the number of affected pouches.

Plum Organics president and co-founder Neil Grimmer said in a statement, "We are taking every action to ensure that our highest standards are being met."
