Bus Crash Near Disney World's Epcot Leaves 1 Dead

A Disney's Magical Express bus rear-ended a car, the Florida Highway Patrol said

One person is dead following a bus crash near Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a Disney's Magical Express bus rear-ended a car Friday afternoon. Witnesses said the car appeared to be slowing down or stopping, possibly from mechanical problems, right before the crash.

The patrol says a woman in her 60s who was in the car was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

No one on the bus died, and the patrol had no immediate word of other injuries.

The drivers and victim weren't immediately named.

Disney's Magical Express is a shuttle service that takes guests between the airport and the resort. It is operated by Mears Transportation.

An after-hours message left with Disney World wasn't immediately returned.

Attempts to reach Mears were unsuccessful.
