Yu Darvish Returns to Town, Plays Catch With Former Teammate

Former Texas Rangers pitcher, and current free agent, Yu Darvish is in town throwing with a former teammate.

Darvish posted on Twitter and Instagram Tuesday that he was playing catch and asked, "Who has [a] better throwing partner than me?"

Given the location, Highland Park High School, it should be no surprise who Darvish was tossing around the ball with -- current LA Dodger and Highland Park alum Clayton Kershaw.

Darvish, of course, was traded to the LA Dodgers during the 2017 season and ended up starting in two World Series games for the Dodgers. Darvish's Game 3 performance was not good and his Game 7 appearance was, well, no better. In two starts Darvish only managed to pitch 3.1 innings.

Kershaw, on the other hand, won Game 1 and pitched 15.2 innings in three games with 17 strike outs. While his 4.02 ERA isn't great, it's far better than the 21.6 turned in by Darvish.

The answer to Darvish's question ... it's hard to imagine many better.

Despite the awful World Series appearance and having been out in 2015 sidelined by Tommy John surgery, Darvish is still among the top free agents going into the 2018 season.
