Would-Be Robber Shot, Crashes Into Bus Stop: Dallas Police

A driver died Thursday morning after police said he crashed into a DART bus stop after being shot by a pedestrian he was trying to rob.

Victor Logan, 19, was in a vehicle when he approached 38-year-old Larico Jackson, who was walking in the 7200 block of Chesterfield Drive, pointed a gun at him and demanded his property. Jackson then drew a firearm and shot Logan several times in self-defense.

Police said Logan drove away, but crashed into a nearby DART bus stop. He was taken to Methodist Charlton Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are investigating whether he died from the crash or being shot.

Homicide detectives interviewed Jackson, who police said will be released.

The DART bus stop structure was removed.
