Woman Sexually Assaulted in Garland

Detectives in Garland want to find two people who sexually assaulted a woman shortly after her husband left for work early Saturday morning.

Garland police said the assault took place at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of West Walnut Street at about 5 a.m. Saturday.

In a news release, the department described the incident:

A female complaint told officers shortly after her husband left for work this morning two men came into her darkened apartment. One of the men threatened her with a knife, tied her up, covered her faced with a cloth and then sexually assaulted her. She believed while the one man was sexually assaulting her the other man was searching the apartment for money. She also told officers the two men only spoke Spanish while they were in her apartment.

Police are looking for a pickup truck that one of the men may have driven to the apartment complex. They released video of the vehicle to the media. It is either a GMC or Chevrolet, extended cab, dark in color with a toolbox in the bed.

If you have any information about this case, call Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272-TIPS (8477).
