Officers responded about 7:30 a.m. to the 1900 block of North Highway 377, where they said a 1994 GMC pickup truck pulling a tandem axle flatbed trailer crossed the center line and struck two oncoming vehicles.

The impact killed 74-year-old Naomi Walker, of Whitesboro, who was driving a 2011 Ford Focus.

The driver of a 2015 Toyota Camry, 16-year-old Morgen Klohn, of Pilot Point, was evaluated at the scene by Pilot Point EMS and refused medical assistance, police said.

Manuel Sandoval-Martinez, 34, of Whitesboro, was driving the pickup truck, and was transported – along with a passenger, 42-year-old Noel Josue Vargas-Herrera – to Denton Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Investigators have not determined what caused the truck to veer into the oncoming lane.
