A woman was fatally shot Sunday morning when someone opened fire on a vehicle near L.B. Houston Park, police say.
Shortly before 1 a.m., four men in a Chevrolet Tahoe pulled up to the 1700 block of California Crossing and shot at a parked vehicle, police said.
Police said that when they arrived, they found 18-year-old Natalya Salmon inside the vehicle. Salmon had apparent gunshot wounds and was unresponsive.

When Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived, they pronounced Salmon dead at the scene, police said.
Two other people were inside the vehicle with Salmon at the time of the shooting. The other two individuals did not sustain serious injuries, and were taken to police headquarters for questioning.
Witnesses described the suspects' vehicle as a tan Chevrolet Tahoe with tinted windows, a lifted suspension, black rims and all-terrain tires, police said.
Salmon's mother told NBC 5 she's in shock and couldn't think of a reason why her daughter would've been targeted.
According to police, witnesses reported that the suspects fled eastbound on California Crossing after the shooting.
No suspects have been taken into custody, police said.
