Officials say a gunman crashed his truck into an SUV driven by his estranged wife during a South Texas chase that ended when he fatally shot her, then himself.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday did not immediately release names of the couple, who recently separated.
A sheriff's statement said the San Antonio-area murder-suicide happened Monday night.
Authorities said the man was chasing his wife and eventually crashed his pickup truck into the back of her SUV as she stopped near a grocery store parking lot. Investigators said the man shot his spouse during an argument, then turned the gun on himself.
Both people died at the scene.
