Forney police said they're investigating after a woman found her husband dead in their back yard Thursday night.
Officers responded to a house in the 100 block of Villanova Circle at about 6:30 p.m. after the woman called 911. Police said the woman found her husband bloody and not breathing. Paramedics responded and determined that the man was dead.
Forney police identified the man as 40-year-old Jackson Kiser Fox IV. His family told NBC 5 he worked as a home inspector.
Witnesses told police they last saw Fox take a ladder into his back yard. Officials said the ladder and several other items were removed from the back yard.
Neighbors told NBC 5 they rarely see police activity and wonder if they should worry about their safety too.
"I just don't recall ever seeing anything like this in this neighborhood," neighbor John Hill said.
