Witnesses: Driver Who Crashed Had Been Shot

Dallas police said they're investigating after a man who crashed his vehicle was found shot early Friday morning.

Detectives said the man in his mid-30s was driving west on Hatcher Street when his Ford Taurus hit a telephone pole and crashed near Louie Lane at 1:16 a.m.

Witnesses told police that they rushed to help the man. When they pulled him out of the vehicle, though, they realized he had been shot.

Dallas Fire-Rescue paramedics transported the driver to Baylor University Medical Center where he died, according to police.

Hospital personnel told police that the victim suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso, causing his death.

Police said they don't have any leads on who might have shot the man or why. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
