This is Biscuit. He's 7 weeks old and was abandoned at 3 weeks in my front yard. I bottle fed him for the next three weeks, and these are some of his first snoozes after eating REAL kitty food. :)

As soon as Aislinn gets off the bus at Grandma's in Paris, Texas, Peanut has to share the recliner with her. He adores Aislinn over her identical twin sister, Allena. He just bonded with Aislinn. Aislinn adores Peanut, too. We got Peanut after our Cricket died of old age ( 14 yrs we had her). Peanut fit right in. He's great fun and kid friendly... Margaret Prater

On May 19th, Armed Services Day, 113 fitness businesses from around the country participated in Pushups For Charity. Pushups for Charity is just a fun way to get fit and make a difference by supporting the Boot Campaign, an non-profit organization whose mission is to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Services who have come back home and could use a hand.

In Coppell, the Challenge was with the Coppell Police Department, Coppell Fire Department, and the Average Joe’s and Jane’s of Coppell. The Coppell event also welcomed Sgt. Joey Jones, who is double “above the knee” amputee, who still remains an active duty marine and is currently an Active Duty Fellow with the House Committee for Veterans Affairs. Each participant did pushups for 90 seconds and each pushup completed helped to raise funds.

One group raised $195 for the Humane Society, another raised $183 for the Salvation Army, and another raised $159 for a missionary from our congregation…all from lemonade stands. I am so proud of them for learning the concepts of our economy and helping others at the same time!

This picture is of my 12 year old son, Zak Waltz, batting in the playoffs in the KYA Bronco division. His team, the Twins, defeated the Marlins and will be playing in the championship game tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 6pm. What makes this a great photo for me is that the 3rd base coach standing behind Zak in the grey shirt and black shorts is his older brother, Josh Waltz. Josh is 17 and plays for the Timber Creek H.S. team. He has helped his brother a lot this year. Josh earns his varsity letter in baseball at the baseball banquet at the same time that his brother will be playing in the championship game. I am a very proud mom!
