Crash Closes Interstate 30 West of Downtown Dallas

The cab of a big rig was left dangling over the edge of the Interstate 30/Trinity River bridge Thursday morning after a crash involving two freight trucks and an SUV.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department said that one of the trucks started leaking fuel after a fuel tank was punctured in the crash.

Six people were injured in the collisions and have all been transported to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas.  Their conditions are not considered life threatening.

The highway reopened to traffic Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

We reported at 10:30 a.m. that one westbound lane was open and that was not accurate. We regret the error. NBC 5's Ben Russell and Christina Miralla contributed to this report.
