Some residents in Mineral Wells were under a boil order after a water main broke Tuesday.
People north of Highway 180 and east of FM 1821 should boil their water before drinking it, cooking it or making ice from it.
The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes to destroy any harmful bacteria or other microbes.
Environmental experts are testing the water quality and will lift the order when it is determined that the water is safe to drink.
