Water Main Break in Dallas Floods Lemmon Avenue

City workers in Dallas worked to repair a large water main break that flooded Lemmon Avenue.

The water main broke in the 8000 block of Lemmon Avenue, near the intersection of W. Lovers Lane.

Initial reports were that water was covering the road, at much as 10 inches deep.

The Dallas Water Department has been called in to repair the line.

When NBC 5 crews arrived at 5:20 p.m., city workers had the northbound lanes of Lemmon Avenue shut down.

Right now there's no word if the water main break has impacted water service to nearby homes or businesses.
