Wanted Texas Gang Member Arrested in California Hotel

Authorities said they have arrested one of Texas' most wanted gang fugitives in a California hotel.

The Press Democrat reported that Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says it arrested the Houston man Monday at Hampton Inn in Windsor.

Sonoma County deputies and about a dozen Windsor officers arrested 45-year-old Paul Eugene Rasco, a known member of the white supremacist gang called the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas.

Sgt. Cecile Focha says Rasco was wanted on two arrest warrants involving assault.

She says officers made sure no one was in the rooms next to Rasco, then called his room phone and ordered him to step outside. Focha says he was arrested without incident.

She says Rasco will remain in Sonoma County Jail until he is extradited to Texas.
