Von Miller Plays the Waiting Game with Broncos

DeSoto native and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller is just playing the contract waiting game.

He’s said he will not play for the Denver Broncos under the one-year franchise tag. At his football camp in Colorado he told USA Today, “I just think, where we’re at right now, everything has been said. Everything is already in the books right now.”

“It’s just a time for waiting right now. I want all the focus to be on the kids today,” he added.

Miller skipped the Broncos' offseason program. NBC 5 Sports recently caught up with him at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas at Oakland Raiders wide receiver and Dallas native Michael Crabtree’s youth football camp.

Denver has until July 15 to get Miller a long-term deal and if the two sides can’t agree, Miller will have two choices: play under the franchise tag, or sit out all or part of the season.
