The University of Dallas is the latest school to opt out of the state's new campus carry law.
The university announced Thursday it will continue its policy of not allowing weapons on campus.
The campus carry law allows private universities to opt out after consulting with students, faculty and staff.
The Irving-based campus joins Texas Christian University and Southern Methodist University among North Texas institutions opting out of the law.
