Two TCU Football Players Arrested in Robbery Return to Team

University says the players have completed disciplinary hearing

Two Texas Christian University football players arrested on robbery charges last week have finished the university's disciplinary hearing process and have been cleared to return to practice, TCU said Wednesday.

The players, senior defensive end Mike Tuaua and freshman wide receiver Andre Petties-Wilson, were suspended for three games.

It was unclear whether either would play in Saturday's game against the University of Texas.

According to police, the two were involved in an off-campus incident Sept. 4, in which a few other TCU students were assaulted.

One was hospitalized.

The players were charged with robbery because they took some beer from the victims, police said.

TCU head football coach Gary Patterson told the Star-Telegram that he's sad for everyone involved and hopes his players learn from what happened.
