Two Recovering From Shooting at Arlington Motel

Arlington police are investigating a shooting at a motel that left two people injured late Friday.

According to police, a man and a woman were shot outside of a motel on the 2700 block of West Division Street near Bowen Road at about 9:15 p.m.

They survived and were headed to a hospital in a private vehicle when they were stopped by a police officer.  The officer then called for an ambulance who took the pair to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The injuries to the pair, whose identities have not been released, were not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have revealed little about the investigation into the shooting but did say the shooter is believed to have known the victims and that the investigation is "very active."

At this time, police have announced no arrests in connection with the shooting.
