Two guns were recovered from inside the apartment, police said, one belongs to the suspects and another to the victims. Police said they are not yet sure who shot who.
The relationship between the victims and suspects is not known, police said, though they did confirm that the victims were not students at The University of North Texas and the suspects were not from Denton.
The Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation.
