Twins Recovering at Houston Hospital After School Bus Crash

Twin students are recovering at a Houston hospital following a school bus crash that killed the other two passengers and injured the driver.

A spokeswoman at Texas Children's Hospital on Thursday declined to release conditions of the 17-year-old boy and girl, as requested by the family.

But their mother, Ella Williams, said Wednesday that God had his hands on her children, Brandon and Lakeisha Williams, during the crash.

The Houston Independent School District bus went off a highway overpass Tuesday morning after being struck by a car during rush-hour traffic. Two female students died. The bus driver was treated and released from a hospital.

Williams says her twins are improving. She says Brandon is speaking and making jokes. Her daughter has communicated by squeezing hands and moving her head.
