A Fort Worth man is recovering after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed along Interstate 35 in Cooke County Wednesday morning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the truck was traveling north on I-35 when it crossed the median near the tourism welcome center and overturned on the southbound side of the highway, spilling its load of gravel about 10:30 a.m.
The driver, identified as Ryan Hobbs, of Fort Worth, was trapped in the truck's cab from about an hour, and then transported to Denton Regional Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Traffic was diverted onto the I-35 service roads while crews cleaned up the gravel.
