Tickets to Weekend Frisco ISD Football Games at The Star Reselling for a Premium

All eight Frisco ISD football teams will play in a quadruple header at The Star on Saturday. While tickets to the games at the Dallas Cowboys new practice facility are sold out, they are still available online, for a price.

In some cases tickets are being resold for more than 10-times the $12 face value.

"Seven tickets for $143.62," laughed Traycie Schwalbe, as she scanned StubHub for tickets Thursday. "I'm thinking, 'Are we going to a Taylor Swift concert?' That's crazy!"

Schwalbe said she wanted to go to Saturday's Wakeland High School game to support her two oldest children's alma mater.

"I want to see as many families go as possible," Schwalbe said. "There are lots of friendships that are made through these games."

The Dallas Cowboys said Frisco students and staff were offered advanced sale tickets at the end of May, before sales opened to the public. Frisco ISD spokesman Chris Moore told NBC 5 the district knew the games would sell out and warned students, but said "it's unfortunate" so many tickets were being sold well above face value.

"Everyone should be able to enjoy it without paying an extra premium," Schwalbe said. "Wow! These are people taking seats from other parents and students that really want to go and see it, selling them just to make a profit."

Frisco ISD said it will likely evaluate the ticket selling process for future games. The district has 18 other football games at The Star this football season.
