A storm system moved through North Texas late Tuesday, bringing scattered showers, some thunderstorms and areas of freezing rain. Small hail and frequent lightning accompanied the thunderstorms.[[473026553,R]]
A Winter Weather Advisory expired at 2 a.m. Wednesday for Collin, Cooke, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Montague, Parker and Wise counties. In these areas, very thin ice accumulations of a light glaze at or below one tenth of an inch were reported Wednesday morning.
Across Dallas-Fort Worth, bridges and overpasses could see light icing. Be extra careful on these elevated surfaces.

With temperatures dropping below freezing overnight, if there is moisture left on the roadway it could freeze and cause trouble for Wednesday's morning commute.
Police in Hurst said ice was to blame for a deadly crash on Texas 183 between Bedford Road and Brown Trail. At about 2 a.m., a man driving a Ford truck was ejected from his vehicle after crashing on the westbound Texpress lanes. Police said he was speeding when he lost control.
In Wise County, authorities worked to clear the scene of a jackknifed 18-wheeler at about 3 a.m. on northbound U.S. 287 at farm-to-market road 407. Drivers in both directions are being diverted to F.M. 407. No one was hurt. HazMat was dispatched to help clear the wreck.

Temperatures will quickly climb later in the week with highs in the mid-60s by Friday. We will be keeping an eye on another storm system that will give us another opportunity for much-needed rain on Saturday.
