Three Teens Arrested in Rash of Car Burglaries

Keller police say teens may be linked to series of car break-ins in North Fort Worth

Three teenagers were arrested Monday night after 17 car break-ins in Keller, and police said the trio may be connected to a rash of car burglaries recently in North Fort Worth.

Jordan Evans, 18, was arrested and being held in the Keller jail on $5,000 bond. Police said two juveniles also were arrested.

"Our detectives are working closely with Keller PD to see if the individuals arrested are connected to our burglaries here in Fort Worth," said Fort Worth police officer Jimmy Pollozani.

Keller police announced the arrests in a tweet, saying, “May be connected to N Fort Worth cases.”

Dozens of cars in several North Fort Worth neighborhoods have been burglarized in the past week.

Surveillance video showed as many as seven young men racing down the street, going car to car, checking for unlocked doors.

Sunday night, they also stole two vehicles.

One of them was involved in a crash Monday morning in East Fort Worth, police said. The driver ran from the scene.

Keller police also said all the cars burglarized Monday night had unlocked doors.
