Three TCU Students Beaten, Robbed

Crime happened Friday night outside off-campus party, police say

Three tall, college-aged "muscular" men beat and robbed three TCU students outside a party just off campus Friday night, police say.

The crime happened outside a house near the intersection of Lowden Road and Lubbock Avenue about 11:30 p.m., police said.

Three large men showed up uninvited at a party, according to a campus crime alert issued by TCU police. The trio was kicked out and then attacked three male students outside.

The students were beaten and robbed of a case of beer, police said.

Fort Worth police are investigating the crime as a robbery but have made no arrests.

The attackers are described as 18-21 years old, muscular, at least 6 feet tall and one had "long, bushy hair pulled back in a ponytail," according to the crime alert obtained by NBC DFW.

Medics treated two of the victims at the scene and one went to a nearby hospital, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said.

Even over the holiday weekend, the crime was the talk of the TCU campus.

“I hope they catch them and take them away from campus and don't let them near campus again, because that's sort of scary with a bunch of college students,” said TCU freshman Abby Stone.
