The Sun Rises in the East and the Mavs Beat the Kings in Dallas

The sun rises in the East. The Super Bowl berths memorable commercials. And the Mavericks beat the Kings in Dallas.

Some things you can just count on.

With Sacramento dragging a 15-30 record into town tonight, there’s nothing to suggest that the longest home winning streak against a team in Mavs’ history won’t continue. The Mavericks have beaten the Kings in Dallas 18 consecutive times in the regular season.

The last time Sacramento won a game in Dallas – February 27, 2003 – Don Nelson was coaching players named Steve Nash, Michael Finley and Shawn Bradley.

If the Mavs play any type of defense the streak should run to 19. The Kings are only 6-14 on the road, although they will get DeMarcus Cousins back from injury and they do own a victory over Dallas this season – 112-97 in Northern California back in December.

Tonight’s winner should be the first one to 110 points. And history says it also should be the home team.
